PM Plans to Meet with Grade A Bachelor Students at the Beginning Of May

PHNOM PENH: Prime Minister Hun Sen has announced that he will meet with Grade A Bachelor students on 3 May 2022, after being unable to meet with them in February due to a surge of the Omicron variant in the local community.

He made this announcement while speaking at the closing ceremony of the meeting to review the work of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports on Wednesday afternoon (27 April).

The Prime Minister made the announcement about meeting with Grade A students after the situation regarding Covid-19 in Cambodia has greatly improved. He had originally planned to meet with Grade A students earlier this year on 15 January, but was forced to postpone the meeting to 28 February, then once again now to 3 May, due to outbreak of the Omicron variant in Phnom Penh.

"We were ready to meet, but Omicron came to destroy us, so we postponed," he said.

In the 2021 High School Diploma Exams, 72,016 out of 114,187 student candidates passed the exam, of which 1,753 students received A grades.
